Ferries and Boats

The shores of Lake Como are still today a succession of small towns with ancient stone bell towers and sumptuous villas. In order to have a good vision of the beauties of the “Riviera” we highly recommend using the public boats. We recommend the day tickets that allow you to use boats as well as the ferries and visit more than one town with the same ticket. You may travel on  the hydrofoils with this type of ticket but this implies paying a supplement. The central lake ticket for example includes Menaggio, Varenna, Bellagio, Cadenabbia, Tremezzo and Lenno. You can buy tickets at the Navigazioni Lago di Como ticket offices at the local boat landings. Thanks to the car ferry service between  Cadenabbia and Bellagio, Bellagio and Varenna, Varenna and Menaggio, Menaggio and Bellagio it is possible to transport your car in order to reach the opposite side of the lake.

Those who love to travel on the lake have a lots of possibilities on Lake Como. In the heart of Brianza, in fact, there are several, beautiful itineraries.

On Lake Pusiano, from April to October, it is possible to travel on the Vago Eupili, a twelve meters catamaran that run the waters of the lake powered by two electric motors. This boat attracts thousands of tourists every year thanks to the charming surrounding and possible sightseeing; in particular for the lovely Isola dei Cipressi (Island of Cypresses), the only isle of the lake. The service is managed by Pro Loco Bosisio Parini.
The river Adda also offers an eco-friendly navigation system. Between Imbersago and Brivio, from April to October, runs Addarella, a zero emissions ferry with 48 seats. The Leonardo Da Vinci ferry, instead, is an boat moved only by the flowing of the river, and it takes its name from the famous inventor and connects the two banks of the river Adda between Imbersago and Villa d'Adda.
